The Club was formed in 2011 to promote and stimulate the sale, breeding, exhibition, and ownership of the Miniature Horse in Virginia and beyond.
One of the goals of the Club was to bring a sanctioned AMHA/AMHR show back to Virginia.
In 2013 we had The Summer Sizzle it was well attended by participants, their families and spectators. We had over 150 horses at the show. Horses from New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey and Virginia competed, some to qualify for the AMHR Nationals and AMHR World Show.
We moved to a new Venue for the 2016 Spring Thaw Show, the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va. The 2017, 2018 and the 2019 shows were well attended and set new records in attendance.
Due to increased fees at the Virginia Horse Center and in order to keep costs low for participants, we moved the show to the Diamond 7 Ranch & Arena in Dillsburg, PA.
The 2021 Spring Thaw was well attended. I'm sure everyone was ready to get out of there houses. We are glad you were able to make it to the show!
We are always looking for new members and volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you.
If you have any ideas to help make our club better please let us know. Will see what we can do.
